They will also bring an air compressor to fill boats, so bring some small cash with you to get a quick fill.

The most significant problem of the Kaljakellunta festival has always been the amount of rubbish left in and around the river by participants every year. Although a big rubbish container has been brought to the end of the route a couple of times, a large amount of people still leave their boats, beer cans and other rubbish floating in the river or on shore.

So make sure to bring a bin bag with you and take care of your own rubbish! A voloutary cleaning event is organised this year too for the next day, you can find their Facebook event here.

The Crazy Horse nightclub located at Malmi will be organising the official afterparty for Kaljakellunta again this year. It’s already becoming a part of the tradition!
